How to submit a donation request

Only CRA-registered charities with a valid registration number are eligible.
Requests must be submitted online through the grant management portal.
Requests are accepted year-round.

Most decisions are made within 4–6 weeks.

Some may require further analysis and board approval, which may take up to 3 months. Organizations are notified accordingly.

Only registered charities with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) that hold a valid charitable registration number may submit a donation request. For more information on obtaining registered charity status, please refer to the CRA Website.

Additionally, the nature of your donation request should preferably fall within one of the foundation’s five areas of focus:
1. Health and Research
2. Youth Well-Being
3. Seniors’ Well-Being
4. Poverty Reduction
5. Arts and Culture

No, requests are accepted year-round.
The Sibylla Hesse Foundation primarily supports organizations that are based and active in Quebec. Some exceptions are possible, particularly in the areas of scientific research and international aid.

A processing time of four to six weeks is required to review a donation request and make a decision. Sometimes, certain requests require a more thorough analysis and must be submitted to the Board of Directors. In such cases, the processing time may take up to three months, and we make sure to inform the organizations concerned.

Once the donation request has been processed, the decision is communicated by email to the person responsible for submitting the request. It is also possible to check the status of your donation request by logging into the portal.

No, only CRA-registered charities.
Mission, recurring, one-time, and program-specific projects — all are eligible. Each application is carefully reviewed based on its relevance, alignment with our priorities, and impact.
It varies. Multi-year funding may be possible for recurring needs.
No. You must complete and save the form before editing later.
It is not possible to resume the donation request form where you left off. You must complete the form in one session before you can save it. However, once saved, you can return to it, make changes, and submit it later.
